Indian sweets have a charm to them. The aroma of the rustic ingredients of an Indian kitchen definitely takes Indians back to days of festivities in their native. Even if you are an Indian away from home, do not fret over not being able to enjoy your favourite gulab jamun recipe as you can easily try it out at home with the following method and also other traditional sweets, so keep reading.

1. Gulab Jamun

Gulab Jamuns are loved by everyone alike. Sink in the grandeur of this rich sweet with this simple recipe.

Ingredients

1½ tsp Baking Powder

600 gm of grated Paneer

1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID

2 cups (200 gm) Flour

1½ tsp Baking Soda

200 gm Sooji/Rava

2 litres Water

1 kg Sugar

6-8 nos, coarsely crushed cardamom

For frying-

Oil

Recipe

  1. Bring sugar and water to a boil. Remove from the heat, add the cardamom, and set aside to cool.
  2. Put the flour, paneer, sooji, Nestlé MILKMAID, baking powder, and baking soda in a mixing dish. Don’t overwork the dough; just combine it to form a soft dough.
  3. Form 30-35 parts of the mixture into rounded gulab jamuns by gently rolling each portion. Fry until golden brown in the oil over a very low flame.
  4. Continue adding the fried gulab jamuns to the prepared sugar syrup. Once all of the gulab jamuns have been added, bring the sugar syrup to a boil and then turn off the heat. Serve hot.

2. BesanLadoo

Religious gatherings and events are incomplete without the crisp taste of besanladoos. Add a unique twist to this besanladoo recipe with MILKMAID.

Ingredients

2/3 cup (100 ml) Refined oil

20 chopped Cashew Nuts

200 gm Nestlé Everyday Shahi Ghee

500 gm, coarse Besan

1/2 tin Nestlé MILKMAID

25 chopped Almonds

Recipe

  1. Add ghee, oil, and besan to a kadai with a heavy bottom. Cook the besan for 10 to 12 minutes at a medium temperature or until it turns golden brown.
  2. Add the chopped nuts, stir thoroughly, and set aside to cool.
  3. Next, stir in the Nestlé MILKMAID and set aside for 15 minutes.
  4. Make 24 parts of the mixture and then gently shape it into ladoos.

3. Kalakand

Milk lovers absolutely adore this sweet. It is simple and quick to make.

Ingredients

1 tin Nestlé MILKMAID

1 tsp Elaichi (Cardamom) Powder

2 tbsp Nestlé Everyday Dairy Whitener

500 gmspaneer

Recipe

  1. Combine MILKMAID and Everyday Dairy Whitener with roughly mashed paneer.
  2. In a pan with a thick bottom, warm the mixture. Cook the mixture over a medium temperature, stirring frequently, until it thickens and begins to leave the pan’s sides.
  3. Spread onto a greased dish after removing from the flame.
  4. Slightly dust with elaichi powder. Cut into squares after cooling and enjoy.
